On 18 June 2011, the Communications Department’s team completed a project at AL Qurum Natural Park located at Shinas.  The team members coated the metal bridge situated at the park with an anti-rust coating to protect it against corrosion.  This initiative is proposed by one of the team members as part of Sohar Aluminium’s commitment towards the environment voluntary work Sohar Aluminium is committed to perform towards environment. Supervised by Lisa Christowitz- the Communications Manager, the team was able to finish the bridge in two days.  This project increases safety for the people using the bridge.
