a world-class aluminium smelter in Sohar, our company
is committed to ensuring optimum growth opportunities
for the industrial sector in Oman.
Part of Sohar Aluminium’s overall strategy is
to promote and support the creation of a robust downstream
aluminium industry in Oman to further develop wealth
creation, employment and business opportunities.
200 hectares of land
adjacent to the smelter site at the Sohar Industrial
Estate has been set aside for downstream industry development.
Here, local companies can take advantage of liquid metal
sales from Sohar Aluminium to manufacture products such
as extrusion billets, rods, wheels, alloys and foil.
A metal supply agreement
has been signed with SAG of Austria, which is presently
constructing a facility to manufacture aluminium busbars
and other cast products.
