On 6 June 2011 Sohar Aluminium welcomed the first out of three groups of the summer student trainees received from the Sultanate’s government and private universities and colleges to enhance their industrial working environment.  It is hoped that these trainees will complete the expected number of training hours in two months as part of their on job training programme.  This annual initiative is part of Sohar Aluminium’s commitment towards community in the Al Batinah region.     

Present at the ceremony was Dr Hilal Abdullah Al Hinai- Sohar Aluminium HR and Corporate Affairs General Manager who welcomed the student trainees and briefed them on the exposure of the real working environment in industrial establishments.  

Mr Hassan Saoud Al Salmi – Sohar Aluminium Government Services Superintendent conducted a presentation on strategies of working in Sohar Aluminium and urged the trainees to optimize their skills during the seven week training programme.
