Launching its efforts to support social projects in the fields of health, education, and environment in Musandam Governorate, three Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) were signed today in Khasab. The signing of the MoUs was held under the auspices of His Excellency Sayyid Ibrahim bin Said Al Busaidi, Governor of Musandam. The projects are funded by Sohar Aluminium (SA) as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility program.
The ceremony was attended by several Undersecretaries, senior officials of government institutions, Mr. Ahmed bin Said Al Amri, member of the SA Board of Directors and Chairman of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, and a number of officials from Sohar Aluminium.
Commenting on the signing of the MoUs, Mr Ahmed Mohammed Nasser Al Kharusi, General Manager of Human Resources & Corporate Affairs at Sohar Aluminium stated, “The funding of these projects is part of SA’s commitment to support various vital service sectors, in particular health, education, and environment, in line with its social responsibility framework. These projects are key initiatives that will contribute to the promotion and development of the quality of services provided to citizens in the Governorate as well as reflect the essence of the public-private cooperation that benefits members of the society directly”.
During the ceremony, His Excellency Sayyid Ibrahim bin Said bin Ibrahim Al Busaidi, Governor of Musandam praised the efforts of Sohar Aluminium and its role in supporting various sectors, including health, education, and the environment in the Sultanate of Oman. His Excellency expressed his gratitude and thanks to Sohar Aluminium and other involved government institutions.
The agreements were signed on behalf of Sohar Aluminium by Mr Ahmed Mohammed Nasser Al Kharusi, General Manager of Human Resources & Corporate Affairs.
The first MoU was signed with the Directorate General of Health Services in Musandam Governorate to provide medical equipment and devices to health institutions in the Governorate and was signed by Dr Nawal Ibrahim Mohammed Al Shihhi, Director General of Health Services in the governorate.
The second MoU was signed with the Directorate General of Education in Musandam Governorate to support the Governorate's schools with interactive boards and was signed by Mr Bader Mahfoudh Mohammed Al Shihhi, Acting Director General of Directorate General of Education in the governorate.
The third MoU was signed with the Environment Authority in Musandam Governorate to contribute towards the national initiative to plant 10 million trees and was signed by Mr Musallam Mubarak Al Mahri, Acting Administration Manager of Environment Authority in the governorate.
