Services, Materials and Equipment

The Vendor Registration Process is designed to enable Sohar Aluminium to gather and store current information about potential vendors, suppliers and contractors whom Sohar Aluminium might consider for the supply of equipment/materials, the supply of services, and the execution of work.

The main objectives of this process are:

  • To ensure that Sohar Aluminium’s contracting and procurement activities are consistent with the Company’s General Business Principles and meets the Company’s technical, quality, environmental, health and safety requirements.

  • To speed up the search for qualified Vendors, and the procurement and/or contracting process in a consistent and transparent manner.

Vendors wishing to do business with Sohar Aluminium should complete the online Vendor registration questionnaire. This questionnaire is used by Sohar Aluminium to collect and assess vendors’ information to build a vendor database.

The materials and services categories in the Sohar Aluminium system are listed in Services categories and Material categories. Vendors should not apply for any groups for which they do not have specific or related experience.

In addition to the above information, the following should be supplied:

  • Scanned copies of commercial registration/chamber of commerce documents
  • Scanned copies of computer paper.
  • Scanned copies of authorisation certificates.

Sohar Aluminium will assess a vendor’s information in accordance with fair and objective procedures, but its assessment shall be final. The information provided does not relieve a vendor from complying with the obligations imposed by any tender or contract.

Registration does not automatically result in qualification and qualification does not mean that any work will be awarded. Queries can be addressed to:
