SCOPE: : Sohar Aluminium Co. LLC (SA) manufactures liquid
and solid aluminium metals. Baked scrap is generated during
the process of manufacturing anodes in carbon plant.
Rejected baked anodes, rodded anode and early change
which cannot be consumed in the pot line needs to be broken
into smaller pieces with the help of breaker. To carry out this
task a special bunker is required with ooring so that no
contamination happens with the soil.Currently the baked scrap
bunker is close to bath bunker. During the handling process
both the material (Bath & Butt dust) gets mixed with each
other. Also the current baked scrap bunker is open bunker.
The proposal is to build a bunker for Baked Scrap (30x30 mtr)
with 2 mtr wall on the edges (20 meter) with steel plate
