Continuing its efforts to engage with the communities across all spheres, and as part of the “Let’s Have Fun with Sohar Aluminium” initiative, Sohar Aluminium (SA) hosted an event coinciding with the Omani Environment Day on Friday, 8th January at Safeer Mall, Sohar.

The event saw more than 300 community members attend with their children. The theme and entertaining activities of the event focused on how to protect the environment and what we can do to preserve the integrity of Oman’s beautiful nature. The attending children and their parents enjoyed several games, quizzes and informative activities. Small plants were also distributed to the kids who were taught how to take care of them.

“Let’s have Fun with Sohar Aluminium” aims to foster and maintain SA’s strong and close ties with the surrounding communities, maximise its positive impact in community services and give a personal face to the industry. It also serves as an excellent platform to share the company values related to Environment, Health and Safety. This initiative was launched in 2014.
