At the Sohar Business Leaders Dinner held on 7 February 2010 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Sohar, Sohar Aluminium (SA) and Sohar University signed a Memorandum of Understanding, concerning SA’s new scholarship scheme for high-achieving students in Al Batinah to realise their potential. Four scholarships will be awarded each year to students from the Faculties of Engineering and Computing & IT. In all, 16 scholarships will be awarded initially. The scholarships will pay the full tuition fees of the students.
