Sohar Aluminium Company (SA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Takaful Suhar Social Charity Team to finance the development of an investment building project for the Team in the Wilayat of Suhar, North Al Batinah Governorate. The signing ceremony was attended by H.E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Busaidi, Wali of Suhar, H.E Abdullah bin Ali Al Balushi, Shura Member of Suhar, Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Balushi, Deputy Wali of Suhar, and other dignitaries.

The agreement was signed by Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Kharusi, General Manager of HR and Corporate Affairs at Sohar Aluminium, and Abdulmunim bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, CEO of Takaful Suhar Social Charity Team.

The agreement stipulates financing the construction of a 4-storey residential and commercial building with a total built-up area of approximately 406 sqm based on the approved design, provided that the building is constructed within a period of one year from signing the agreement.   

This project will play a significant role in boosting and ensuring the sustainability of the activities conducted by Takaful Suhar Social Charity Team to serve the community in the Wilayat of Suhar. The revenues of this investment building will support the Team to fund its various social and charitable activities that have been managed by the Team and to achieve its objectives.  

The General Manager of HR and Corporate Affairs at Sohar Aluminium confirmed that funding the construction of this project for Takaful Suhar Social Charity Team reflects the Company’s social responsibility and its continuous support to give back to the communities, especially those located within its concession area.

He, further, commented that this project is in line with Sohar Aluminium’s direction towards developing the community and supporting sustainable projects that thrive charitable activities, initiatives, and projects.

On the other hand, the CEO of Takaful Suhar Social Charity Team stated that this investment building will stand as an asset, which will contribute to supporting the Team’s different activities and initiatives. He also commended the role of Sohar Aluminium, which has been a partner to fund this remarkable project, marking a testament of the Company’s ongoing support to the community.

Takaful Suhar Social Charity Team was established in 2012 and works under the umbrella of the Social Development Committee in the Wilayat of Suhar. The Team is concerned with providing a range of charitable and social services to the community of Suhar.
